PLA - Google Shopping

The key with Google Shopping / PLA is directly matching Item ID costs to attribution.  The first step is to append the URL of your feed with the following:

&c3ch=PLA&c3nid=[ENTER ITEM ID and REMOVE BRACKETS]

If you Item ID was 'e9120-1xl', the proper append would be as follows:

&c3ch=PLA&c3nid=e9120-1xl

The next step is to establish an automatic daily reporting of spend based upon Item ID, which can be enabled in Google AdWords.

1)  Go to you PLA Campaign with AdWords

2)  Click on the Dimensions Tab & Change the View to Item_ID

You will notice the highlighted area above shows the view.  The default when it is first loaded is 'Day' -- just click, scroll down to shopping and then scroll down to Item ID as shown below.

3)  Customize Columns to add the Ad Group

4)  Set-Up the Daily Report

In the upper right hand side of AdWords, change your date range to Yesterday


Click on the Download button to the right off the Columns button

Add in a Segment for Day

Set-up to receive the report Daily and provide a Subject Line

Click Download and your report will be enabled.
