CRM / Loyalty Card Program
With CRM / Loyalty Card programs users receive email messages and in-store purchases are connected via a central CRM identifier.
The C3 Metrics 1x1 tag is added to the CRM emails and the CRM identifier is passed to C3 in the tag. If this particular CRM/Loyalty Card member has engaged with any digital advertising, C3 will able to determine that once they open the email.
A feed of in-store purchases, including the CRM identifier is now sent to C3 for analysis. C3 studies each offline order to determine if there were any correlation between a particular sale and digital media the consumer was exposed to.
This same methodology works in cases where in-store receipts are being emailed to customers.
